Just so you know, my P-day here in the MTC is on Mondays but I
leave NEXT MONDAY!
On Monday, Feb 9, at 7:10 am, a plane will take me from Salt Lake City to Atlanta, Georgia! And then from Atlanta to Jackson! I have to be at the travel office of the MTC by 3:20am on Monday morning.

My companion is also going to Jackson (where her dad served his
mission!). She is ALSO 6 FEET 1 INCHES
tall, which is great. We have our groove together teaching (she does the
transitions from topic to topic and I provide the info).
I thought the MTC would be about learning how to teach. IT'S
NOT. It's about learning how to figure out through the Spirit what
investigators need. I know how to teach but I didn't know how to do that. So, I'm learning how to teach better (or
rather INVITE; nothing in the purpose says anything about teaching).
I've heard a lot of people say that they've never felt the Spirit so strongly as at the MTC. I have definitely felt the Spirit this strongly elsewhere in my life, but probably not nearly as consistently. We pray a lot and it's great. I feel like I'm getting better at learning how to follow the Spirit. AND I'VE ONLY BEEN HERE 4 DAYS! I feel like I've been here forever.
Our branch presidency talked to us yesterday about how to rate
things:
Good: is it wrong?
Better: is it right?
Best: is it valiant?
I've been trying to follow this. Someone told us that, "Obedience brings
blessings and exact obedience brings miracles." I want those miracles so
I've been working on exact obedience.
I am enjoying myself and trying to take advantage of my time in
the MTC! But I will be excited to leave.
Love,
Sister Nash
PS: I'm a
Sister Training Leader. My comp and I are in charge of the orientation of the
new district on
Wednesday (along with the
zone leaders)!
Wow! I love that enthusiasm! I can see so much has changed since when I was in the MTC too. I'm so excited to hear more about your mission, Sis. Nash! I'm so sad we missed your talk and saying goodbye, but I think I'll still be able to get some of your insight through the blog. We will pray for you and hope you keep up with this excitement!
